5–6pm with an opportunity for networking afterwards
Venue: Pavilion Room, Hughes Hall, Cambridge
Join the Centre for Climate Engagement (CCE) and Hughes Hall Law Society for a panel discussion with legal professionals on building a career in environmental law.
The law is essential to many of the most pressing global environmental challenges, from climate change and biodiversity loss to pollution and environmental justice. To celebrate Hughes Hall Green Week and Cambridge Climate Week 2026, this panel brings together legal professionals working across the field to share insights into their career journeys, the skills and experience that matter most, and the realities of day-to-day practice.
Featuring:
Catriona Campbell, Rewilding Lawyer at the Lifescape Project and Consultant in Clyde & Co’s Regulatory & Investigations team.
Róisin Finnegan, Barrister at Six Pump Court Chambers.
Jemima Jamieson, Senior Executive at the Net Zero Lawyers Alliance
The discussion will cover routes into the profession, different areas of specialism, and practical advice on building a meaningful and impactful career in climate and environmental law. The panel will also consider how other areas of practice are being impacted by environmental issues, and how all lawyers in all specialisms can address climate issues during their career.
